Sardar Ayaz Sadiq hosted Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, and his accompanying delegation in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Ayaz Sadiq said, “The recent interactions between Pakistani and Iranian officials will serve as an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations.”
He stressed the need to enhance peace, stability and mutual regional cooperation.
The two sides agreed to encourage the exchange of parliamentary and public delegations, and to emphasize the importance of unity, solidarity and common orientation among Islamic countries.
A statement by the Pakistani Parliament indicated that the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, regional security, parliamentary cooperation, and opportunities to increase economic participation.
