The Russian media reported that the Hamas delegation headed by Musa Abu Marzuk visited Moscow and held talks with Russian officials on Monday.
The purpose of the Hamas delegation’s visit to Moscow is to hold talks with officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Last December, a delegation from Hamas headed by Abu Marzuk met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and discussed developments in Palestine, especially the situation in the Gaza Strip and the sponsorship of the Zionist regime, which is restless against the Palestinians.
The visit of the Hamas delegation to Moscow comes at a time when the ceasefire agreement in Gaza began on January 19, 2025, and its first stage will last 6 weeks.
During this stage, negotiations will be held on implementing the agreement in the second and then third phases.
According to the Israel newspaper, Abu Marzuk said on Monday after the meeting that the Mexim Israeli prisoner Herkin will be released as a priority in the second stage of the deal.
The Russian Outlet Outlet Sputnik also told Alexander “Sasha” Truvanov, of Russian origin, will be released dramatically.
