Focusing on safety standards, increasing transportation capacity and improved service quality, PMO collected a comprehensive report aimed at providing a safe and enjoyable naval travel experience during the holiday season.
The expansion of the fleet of marine passengers
In line with the Navruz 2025 travel facilitation plan, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development directed the addition of two new ships to the passengers, with a total capacity of 540 seats, to the fleet of Shahid Haghani Port in Bandar Abbas. In total, 100 ships – including 47 passenger ferries and 50 letters will be deployed – along with 150 boat to serve in full preparation. Moreover, the capacity of maritime transport in other major ports has been strengthened to meet the expected increase in demand.
Focus on safety and naval standards
The Deputy Minister of Transport and Representation at the Project Management Office stressed the necessity of the safety of passengers, noting that it will not be tolerated with neglect. To support safety standards, passenger ships underwent comprehensive technical inspections, and marine research and rescue exercises were conducted. In addition, response teams are concentrated in emergency situations and service employees in the main ports to support holidays. All ships must comply with safety systems and obtain technical approvals before starting operations.
Focus on the workforce and professional health standards
At a recent administrative meeting, Saeed Rasouli emphasized the priority of the Welfare of the Manpower, highlighting the need to improve employee working conditions. HSE’s health, safety and environment (HSE) around the country’s ports is still a major axis during the Nowruz. Specialized training sessions were conducted for operating workers and service.
Special initiatives for ticket services
To simplify Travel Nowruz, the ticket system has been carried out back and forth for trips in high traffic roads such as Shahid Haghani’s port to the Hormuz and Qeshm Islands, which aims to prevent crowding. In addition, 1,300 support staff and 150 ships were deployed in the country’s ports to ensure the safety and guidance of passengers. Several ports have introduced new amenities to improve the travel experience.
Shabhar Marine Tourism Port is ready
Shabhar port is scheduled to provide intensive services from March 15 to April 4, with 355 employees, 14 rescue ships, and 60 tourist boats stationed in 11 coastal tourist stations along the Macran coast. Search and rescue operations will be at full alert to ensure marine safety throughout the holiday period.
Coordination meeting on marine tourism safety in Astara
A coordination session was held on the implementation of marine tourism safety measures in the port of Astara, attended by representatives of various agencies. The main decisions included more striking vessel safety inspections, only allowing boat operations under favorable weather conditions, and installing safety signs. It is expected to visit an estimated 2700 boat and 13,412 tourists Astara during the Nowruz 2025.
Promote marine tourism safety in Gilan
At the Gilan coordination meeting, measures were identified to improve maritime tourism safety in NOWRUZ 2025, including high -end roads, ship safety inspection, safety signs installation, and distribution of media brochures. A specialized search and rescue ship has also been added to the province’s fleet.
Arabad Port preparations for Maritime Travel Nowruz
Amrabad Port has formed special work teams, signed agreements with marine operators, and conducted research and rescue exercises to ensure the safe travel of NoWruz. Rescue ships and technical supervision teams are still at full alert, while general awareness campaigns targeting unauthorized ships are also ongoing.
Hormozgan Ports Western Fleve Nowruz 2025
Hormozgan ports are fully prepared for the NOWRUZ 2025. Search and rescue teams, technical inspection units and four rescue ships specialized in fully preparedness. The operational plan, which lasts from March 13 to April 14, includes the continuous ship monitoring and strict adherence to safety standards. In addition, 1,000 safety booklets and 100 safety signs will be distributed through the western hormone ports.
Marine tourism plan in Bushehr Ports
The Nowruz Maritime Tourism Plan will be implemented from Bushehr from March 14 to April 4, which includes strict safety controls on the ship’s operations. Unauthorized ships will be banned from operation, and the strict compliance of the designated sidewalks will be applied and the survival jacket is used. The entertainment marine roads have been clearly identified, as boat operations are limited to two nautical miles as a maximum of the beach.
Ghulistan Ports for Marine Travel NOWRUZ
GOOLESTAN Ports also implemented special measures to accommodate the Nowruz maritime travelers, with a focus on safety in three main areas: sidewalks, ships and marine roads. Rescue ships are stationed in Turkmen-Bandar-E-Gaz ports, while search and rescue exercises will be conducted. Data exchange was created in actual time and marine data exchange between the Ports of Julistan and Elabad to enhance travel safety.
