Esmaeil Baghaei stated that there is no action against free trade or commercial ships in any country in international waters.
Baqei answered, during a press conference on Monday, a question about negotiations with the United States, saying: “Negotiations under the circumstances or methods based on coercion and pressure are mainly meaningless. The Islamic Republic of Iran was not very clear in its position on the situation. Negotiations at all.”
Regarding the demands submitted by Reuters news agency about the cessation of Iranian oil tankers, Bajia said: “This news agency has repeatedly violated the standards of professional journalism, which reduces part of a social deception campaign regarding Iran and issues in the West Asia region. It often produced or publishing false or bias, or misleading the news included in these issues.
Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed that according to international law and the Charter of the United Nations, stopping ships is completely unacceptable.
He explained: “There is no measure against free trade and commercial ships of countries in international waters. These allegations are part of a media campaign, unfortunately, they are still continuing. Iran’s marine trade is completely legitimate and legal, and we will definitely continue our activities in accordance with international law.”
