The opening ceremony was held in the Tehran Hall, Fahdat in the city center, on Thursday afternoon.
The annual Film Festival will be held on the anniversary of FAJR celebrations for a period of ten days, which are the ten days between the return of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini on February 1, and the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11, 1979.
The slogan of this year’s festival is “Mother”, and therefore the opening ceremony started with scenes from the movie “Mother” by Ali Hatami, followed by the playing of the Iranian national anthem and the recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran.
The Fajr Film Festival is an international event in the end, the winning films and actors will be awarded.
