Venezuela President Nicholas Maduro made the statements in an interview broadcast on the Venezolana de TV channel.
“With regard to Praxx, I hope that the road will be cleared and that reality – Venezuela will be recognized as part of the Brexes,” said Maduro.
In response to a question about Brazilian joining Venezuela’s accession to Brex at the association’s summit in Kazan, the president indicated that “it is necessary to transform the page and look at the future.”
Maduro said that the hero of the national struggle in Venezuela against the Spanish colonial rule, Simon Bolivar, “has been dreaming of Brex for 200 years.” The president recalled that the former leader of the country, Hugo Chavez, “witnessed the Venezuela road to Brex and the inclusion of this ruling on the government program.”
