The worst was reportedly confirmed for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford on Saturday as the Pro Bowl QB heads to the IR.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, “The Rams have placed QB Matthew Stafford on the disabled list, effectively ending the 2022 season. Now expose their veteran quarterback with little incentive to play.”
The NFL world reacted to the news across social media.
“A wise decision,” said Robert Griffin III. “With his concussion, they’re thinking about the person, not just the player.”
“The Rams certainly won the trade, but the Lions team is great,” said one fan. “I hope they catch Will Levis!”
“I know the Rams had a terrible season, but they won the Super Bowl last year, so pushing in all the chips was already working for them. Even if it put Stafford’s health at risk. It doesn’t make sense,” another user replied.
“If the Lions get a top-four pick, it could be the biggest ‘win-win’ trade in history.”
“What’s the highest rank a team has picked using another team’s draft picks?” a Detroit account asked. “I feel the Rams and Lions could break that record.”
Not the most imagined season of the year.
