He said that Israel “intentionally caused life to the (Palestinian) group calculated to cause its physical destruction and impose measures aimed at preventing births within the group.”
“These violations not only caused severe physical and psychological harm to women and girls, but also had long -term consequences for irreversible on the prospects for mental health and fertility for the Palestinians as a whole,” Navi Pelay, the committee chairman, said in a statement.
The investigation found that Israel had conducted systematic attacks targeting health care facilities in Gaza, specifically hospitals and clinics that provide reproductive health services.
This has led to a complete collapse of the health sector’s ability to provide care for pregnant women and births.
The investigation confirmed that “the severe restrictions on medical supplies and basic drugs have agreed to the deterioration of reproductive health for women and girls in Gaza, which directly contributed to the high rates of mother and newborn births.”
The report also condemned the Israeli forces on the use of forced public tweets and sexual assault as part of the standard operating measures to punish Palestinians in the wake of Hamas’s surprise and a widespread attack against the Zionist entity in October 2023.
