The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazim Garibadi, described the meeting of Iran’s Chinese Russia in Beijing as an important step in resolving the nuclear issue, describing the United States withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal, “the radical cause of all problems.”
Garibabadi said on Friday that an end to “illegal and unity” sanctions against Iran were among the main issues in the talks during the tripartite meeting and its joint statement.

On Friday, the diplomats from Iran, Russia and China met in Beijing to hold talks on the nuclear program of Bran.
In a joint statement issued at the end of the Beijing meeting, China and Russia welcomed Iran’s repetition that its nuclear program is exclusively for peaceful purposes and also welcomes Iran’s commitment to completely compliance with its obligations under the Non -Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the Comprehensive Protection Agreement.
Beijing and Moscow emphasized the need to respect Tehran’s right to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy as a country party to NPT.
In 2015, Iran signed a joint comprehensive work plan (JCPOA) with six world powers. However, the unilateral withdrawal of the United States in 2018 and its subsequent redirect to sanctions against Tehran left the future of the deal to fold.
Garibabadi said that Tehran, Beijing and Moscow believed that the withdrawal of one side from JCPOA and the lack of fulfillment of European Troika – France, Germany and Britain – for its obligations are the root causes of continuous problems related to the Iranian nuclear issue.
Garibadi also said, “According to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231, the position of the Iranian nuclear issue should be announced naturally from October, and the three countries at the meeting expressed their objection to any step that would prevent the situation from becoming normal and hinder the normalization of economic communications and cooperation with Iran,” Garibadi also said.
He pointed out that the joint statement called on the relevant parties to refrain from any action that might rise the situation.
The Iranian diplomat said that the three aspects agreed to continue the consultations and stressed that if other countries participate in any possible talks, “these negotiations will focus only on the nuclear issue, and non -nuclear issues will not be part of these discussions.”
The Iranian ambassador to Beijing also said that the initiative to hold Iran’s Chinese meeting will provide a “clear way” to confront the unilateral United States.
“The tripartite meeting in China has achieved very important and valuable agreements on important international issues, including the need to cooperate in the three countries in the face of unilateral US sanctions,” said Mohsen with a choice.
He said that the meeting “succeeded” in Beijing based on strategic cooperation between the three countries.
