This was the ninth victory in Iran in the competition, where the Persians defeated the youth Kazakhstan, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Canada, Poland, Argentina, China and the United States in the competition.
Earlier in the day, the United States defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-18) in the bronze medal match.
The competition was held in Jianghan, China from 21 to 31 August.
