Hezbollah described Sunday, January 26, 2025, as “a wonderful day from God” and “a majestic spectacle of honor and dignity designed by the people of resistance.”
In a statement issued Sunday evening, the group praised the resilience of the Lebanese people, highlighting their deep connection to their lands, their unwavering connection to every grain of soil, and their unwavering role as guardians of national sovereignty, standing firm against all threats and aggression.
Since 2000, this scene has repeated itself. Through their heroic resistance, our personnel continue to push back against the enemy, reaffirming once again that there is no place for the occupier in this blessed land, filled with the blood of martyrs.”
Hezbollah also highlighted the powerful symbolism of the return of residents, carrying pictures of martyrs and flags of resistance, as a sign of perseverance, steadfastness and victory. The statement pointed out that “this indomitable will and indomitable spirit are the most powerful weapon of resistance.” I also recalled the words of the late holy martyr, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who described this force as an “unbeatable point of strength.”
The group reiterated that the resistance remains loyal to the sacrifices of its martyrs and that no force, no matter how strong, can withstand the blessed popular wave seeking liberation and the final defeat of the occupier.
Hezbollah also emphasized the enduring value of the “army resistance among the people” formula, describing it as a tangible reality rather than just a slogan. She said that this unity spares Lebanon from the betrayal of its enemies and is embodied daily through the sacrifices of its people.
The statement called on all Lebanese to stand united with their southern compatriots, reaffirming the values of national solidarity and striving together for true sovereignty defined by liberation and victory. Hezbollah urged the international community, especially the nations sponsoring the recent agreements, to hold Israel accountable for its violations and crimes and to ensure its complete withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
The statement concluded with a tribute to the martyrs and wounded who, through their sacrifices, paved the way for liberation and victory. Hezbollah stressed that these historical moments reaffirm Lebanon’s identity as a state of honour, dignity and steadfast resistance.
