The statement said: “Cuba, based on Article 63 of the Statute of the Court, submitted to the Registry a declaration of intervention in the case relating to the application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip.” .
South Africa filed a complaint with the International Court of Justice in December of 2023, saying that the actions of the Israeli regime in Gaza are “of a genocidal character because they aim to destroy a significant portion of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnic group.”
