Speaking at the AI Action Summit, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira highlighted a urgency in addressing the impact of artificial intelligence on democracy, sovereignty and global governance.
During the Presidency of the G20 in Brazil 2024, discussions focused on the use of artificial intelligence to enhance the integration of information, according to TV BRICS.
Brazil also launched an initiative on information safety and climate change in cooperation with the United Nations and UNESCO. These efforts will continue in COP30 in beeem, where the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainability and digital governance will be a major axis.
Brazil is looking forward to its presidency for 2025, and Brazil is scrambled to a greater representation of the global southern in the policy industry of artificial intelligence. Vieira stressed that sustainable solutions require the inclusion of developing countries to prevent deepening digital divisions. He also stressed the need for artificial intelligence regulations that give priority to democratic values and community well -being.
