The Israeli army goes deeper in Syria under the guise of Druze

The Israeli Ministry of War said on Saturday that the army had been prepared to defend the settlement of Druze in the outskirts of Damascus, stressing that the minority that pledged to protect was “being attacked” by the Syrian forces.

The statement follows, citing an order of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of War, Israel Katz, an Israeli warning at the end of last week that the new regime forces in the new Syria led by HTS do not enter the region south of Damascus.

A statement on Saturday indicates that the Israeli regime forces can push further to Syria, where its new authorities are trying to unite control. The Israeli forces recently established leaflets in a buffer zone on the near strategic mountain. There were no major clashes between the Israeli forces and the new forces in Syria.
