Iran, Belarus for the formation of the Committee of Joint Scientific Cooperation



The Pillarosy Ambassador to Iran, Dmitry Colutov, and head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Farhad Yazdost, agreed to form a joint scientific committee between the two countries in the spring.

The agreement reached a meeting between Ambassador and Yazdandost in Tehran on Wednesday.

In reference to the great progress of the Iranian private sector in cooperation with Belarus in various fields, the Iranian official stressed the need to expand cooperation in the fields of knowledge -based companies, startups and biotechnology.

Noting that there are barriers to establish direct communication between the universities of the two countries in the past, he expressed his hope that he would expand by facilitating scientific and academic communications, and cooperation at the level of scholars and the academic delegation.

Yazdandoost referred to the previous successful experiences and the visit of the former Iranian Science Minister to Bearus, announcing the readiness of the major Iranian universities to cooperate with their Belarusian counterparts.

For his part, the Belarusian Ambassador welcomed the expansion of cooperation, to the presence of cooperation opportunities in the basic and applied fields, including physics, chemistry and advanced technologies.

The two sides agreed to hold a joint scientific committee this spring, and the Iranian Ministry of Science announced its willingness to play an intermediary role for cooperation between the institutions of the two countries.
