The United States imposes new illegal sanctions on Iranian oil exports

The Treasury said that in another non -feasible step, the United States imposed a new round of sanctions targeting the Iranian oil industry on Monday, and hit more than 30 brochures, tanker operators, and shipping companies for its role in selling and transporting Iranian oil.

This announcement comes as US President Donald Trump is seeking to raise Iran’s raw exports to scratch and build on the layers of sanctions that his government already imposes and the previous Biden administration, Reuters said.

“Iran continues to rely on a mysterious network of ships, trucks and brokers to facilitate its oil sales …”, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessin claimed in a statement.

The Trump administration re -imposed sanctions on Iran after taking office in January. This is at a time when the administration of his predecessor, Joe Biden, continued the maximum former Trump government campaign, which was subjected to us after we were removed from the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran in May 2018.

A few days ago, the media reported on February 19 that Iran’s oil exports to China have recovered.

The average Iranian oil exports in February were assigned to its largest buyer to 1.74 million barrels per day, according to the initial data from KPLER that Bloomberg cited. The number is an increase of 86 % of January flows.

The Bloomberg report indicated that the shipping batch was enabled by opening new receipt stations and more ship transport to ships.

It is not clear whether Trump’s measures will pushing Iran’s exports greatly, as the Reuters report admitted today.
