Rion Ichihara scored a penalty kick with Japan defeated Iran 4-3 over a penalty shootout after the AFC AS20 CUP 2025 1-1 finals at the Chentyn Youth Base Football Base Stadium for Football Training on Sunday.

Japan started the first period of extra time, as it ended in the second half because it abandoned Iran’s goal with footage, with some solid defense only to keep them in a critical position.
Iran continued to live dangerously as they confessed to kicking free at the beginning of the second period of extra time, but Shakuri had launched another complete length to deny Ryunosuke Sato directly from the box.
With the inability of both sides to find the winner, the tie went to a penalty shootout and despite the best efforts of Shakuri – where he scored one and provided third place in picker and Japan advanced to the semi -finals.
Japan will face Australia in the semi -finals with victory, also confirming them a place in the FIFA U20 Chile 2025.
