Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragichi met and held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Nepal, Dr. Arzo Rana Duba, in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
In this meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister referred to the history of good relations between the two countries and stressed Iran’s willingness to strengthen and expand relations between Iran and Nepal, especially in the fields of economy, trade and energy.
Arachi also said that the mutual visits to officials in the two countries and holding economic meetings are a way to identify each other’s capabilities and exploit them to develop relations.
He also called on its Nepalese counterpart to visit Tehran.
Nepal’s foreign minister also pointed to the sixtieth anniversary of the creation of relations between the two countries, saying: “It is a good opportunity to hold some events, exhibitions, commercial, cultural, tourism and food in order to deepen the relations between Tehran and Kathmandu.”
Nepal also expressed the appreciation of Iranian humanitarian efforts to evacuate Nepalese citizens from Gaza and demanded the continuation of these efforts.
