Pezeshkian responds to Trump’s threats against oil exports

Speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, President Masoud Bezishian said that “energy exports in the market with many customers led to great revenues.”

“We are a strong country, with our reserves and exceptional resources in the world,” the president said.

He also said, “The United States is punishing us, but if we manage our own resources, we will solve our problems,” adding: “They believe that everything we do depends on oil and want to stop it.”

Meanwhile, the Iranian president stressed that “there are many other ways.”

He said, referring to the US President’s statements last night, which he claimed would reach zero.

Donald Trump illegally brought us out of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran unilaterally on May 8, 2018 and the imposition of unprecedented sanctions on Iran, which has yet proven to be useless.

Iran has taken steps away from the nuclear deal that JCPOA was called in order to pressure other participants to stand in front of the United States’s pressure after the United States withdrew from the deal.

Iran said that sanctions cannot bring the country to its knees and will not be able to do it in the future. Iran has consistently rejected Western allegations that its peaceful nuclear program is to obtain weapons purposes.

Tehran also pledged to be ready for talks to remove sanctions on the country in exchange for curbing uranium enrichment.
