An official at the Sudanese Oil Ministry says that Sudan can use Iran’s experience and technical knowledge in the oil sector to develop the oil industry, a step that could transform the economy of the country of North Africa.
Imam Allah Gabo, in Iran as part of a Sudanese delegation, said that his country, which has its own oil industry, can benefit from Iran’s experience in the source sector and petrochemical products to create the oil industry on the source.
“Sudan has an oil industry in the direction of the river, and Iran can help us create industries on the source,” he said.
The source oil industry includes exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. The search for potentially underground or underwater natural oil and underwater fields include geological studies, seismic studies, and exploratory excavations.
Gabo pointed out that the oil industries are among the most expensive but can transform the country’s economy.
He pointed out that Sudan was keen to strengthen relations with Iran in various sectors of energy and oil. Despite facing sanctions, Iran has been an attractive destination for private sector investments from other countries.
