The project, designed to process salty crude oil from the Ahvaz oil field, will increase and maintain the capacity to process salty crude oil by 110,000 barrels per day, the Oil Ministry-SHANA news service reported.
The main focus of the project is to improve the quality of processed crude oil to meet export and refining standards.
The project, worth 58.7 million euros, is expected to create 180 direct jobs and 400 indirect jobs. More than 85% of the equipment is manufactured locally, with 100% of engineering, construction and commissioning services provided locally.
When completed, the project will enhance oil-water separation, ensuring that industrial wastewater meets environmental standards, thus reducing pollution from industrial effluents.
