Mohammad Ali Eskandari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan, met with Asylbek Khodarov, Minister of Health of the Central Asian country, to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of health.
In the meeting, which was held with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of health and treatment, the two sides confirmed their intention to expand relations in this field.
Eskandari explained Iranian capabilities in medical sciences, and considered medicine and medical equipment important areas of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Asylbek Khodarov stressed the high position that Iran occupies in the world in the field of medical sciences, expressing his happiness with the development of relations in the field of treatment, especially medicine, with Iran.
He continued his speech by emphasizing the reforms implemented in the healthcare system in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the country’s president, expressing Uzbekistan’s interest in meeting part of Uzbekistan’s healthcare needs through Iran.
During the meeting, cooperation in the field of medicine and medical equipment, exchange of experiences and communication between universities and hospitals of the two countries were emphasized in order to identify existing capabilities and capabilities.
