“Last year, the United Nations voted for the appointment of July 11 as the international day of the genocide of Sriprinika.”
He added: “It is a day of shame for those who were either complicit or remained silent, as thousands of innocent Muslims were slaughtered.”
“On the thirtieth anniversary of this dangerous horror, Iran praises the innocent martyrs and expresses its solidarity with the survivors and their families. If the world has truly absorbed the lessons of Sri Labrinika, we will not witness another genocide against Muslims, this time in Gaza.”
He concluded that “Iran will always stand with the oppressed, whether it is in Bosnia, Herzegovina, or in Palestine.”
The Bosnian war was a devastating struggle in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995, and included Bosnian Muslims, Serbs, and Croat. The war was marked by ethnic cleansing on a large scale, genocide, and many atrocities that primarily targeted Bosnian Muslims.
One of the darkest seasons of war was the Sri Labrinika massacre in 1995, where more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and children were performed systematically and was widely recognized as a work of genocide.
