This festival, which was long recognized as one of the most important cinematic events in the field of resistance, will conclude with a special closure ceremony on May 24, coinciding with the memory of the liberation of Khorramshahr.
Dr. Galla Gavari, Secretary of the Eighteenth Film Resistance Festival, announced that a closing celebration of the Film Resistance Festival will be held from now on May 24. He emphasized that the choice of this date goes beyond mere executive decision; It represents the intersection of resistance cinema with one of the most important periods in contemporary Iranian history.
With the assertion that this festival is not just a place to display cinematic works, but it is also a platform for the novel of the Iranian people’s steadfastness through the seventh art, he added: “May 24 is not just a history of calendar; it symbolizes breaking the siege, overcoming obstacles, and achieving victory.” The choice of this day for the festival closing ceremony confirms that resistance cinema, such as khorramshahr, can overcome the siege of censorship and dominant media accounts, bringing the sound of truth to the ears of the world.
The Secretary of the International Film Resistance Festival stressed the importance of the international dimension of the event, saying that the resistance cinema reflects the ideals of freedom and anti -imperialism, not only within the country but on a global scale. He stressed that the Film Resistance Festival has become one of the most important cinematic events in the region in the fields of resistance and the endeavor of justice in recent years, as well as this edition, with a broader approach and a deeper view of regional and global developments, aimed at conveying the message of resistance and justice and seeking the truth in the world through edema.
