“The competition, named after the outstanding photojournalist from the Rossiya Segodnya media group who tragically lost his life in the summer of 2014 near Donetsk, traditionally kicks off on his birthday, December 22,” said Oksana Oleinik, curator of the Andrei Stenin Competition.

Despite the countless challenges and uncertainties in today’s world, our competition consistently attracts the attention of professional photographers from many countries and continents. Undeterred by political barriers, the global photography community remains steadfast in its commitment to professional integrity.

It is also important that young photographers – participants and winners of our competition – explore themes of compassion and humanity in the midst of a world fraught with adversity and turmoil. They convey these narratives through their visual expression, making them accessible to a diverse global audience. To achieve this, we organize traveling exhibitions showcasing the works of winners and finalists in different countries.

The unifying essence of our competition is clear, and we will do our best to further this invaluable mission. “Kindness will save the world.”

Photo professionals between the ages of 18 and 33 are invited to submit their entries via the contest website in Russian at http://stenincontest.ru and in English at https://stenincontest.com. The application window for the 2025 competition remains open until February 28.

The award ceremony of the 11th Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest is traditionally scheduled to be held in Moscow in September-October 2025.
